Angela Engelson Memorial Scholarship for Women Artists
Angela Engelson was a talented artist who brought light to the world. As the seventh of nine children raised in the 1950s, she did not have the opportunity to attend college.
Angela worked tirelessly from a young age to support her family. After her divorce, she remarried and devoted herself to forging a close-knit blended family that included four children and seven grandchildren. Angela sadly passed away in late 2024 at the age of seventy-eight, but her legacy lives on.
This scholarship seeks to honor the memory of Angela Engelson by supporting young women who are the first in their families to pursue a college education and are studying studio art or art history.
Any female high school senior or undergraduate student who is a first-generation college student may apply for this scholarship opportunity if they’re pursuing an undergraduate degree with a major in studio art or art history.
