Addie Lanta’s Scholarship
Addie was a beloved beagle who was found as a puppy on the side of the road at Western Carolina University.
Addie sadly passed away this year but her memory lives on and exemplifies the bond between dogs and humans. People can learn a lot from their pets, from responsibility to compassion to companionship. Dogs can similarly add value to their owners’ lives, bringing joy and connection throughout good and bad times.
This scholarship aims to support students whose lives have been touched by their beagle dogs so they can pursue higher education.
Any high school senior or undergraduate student in North Carolina or South Carolina who has a beagle may apply for this scholarship opportunity, but students going to Western Carolina University are preferred.
To apply, tell us about your beagle, how or when you got them, and how having your dog has impacted your life. Additionally, upload an image of you with your pet beagle.
Tell us about your beagle - how/when did you get them? How has having your dog enhanced and changed your life?
