Zach Stander Trade School Scholarship Fund

Zach had an entrepreneurial passion, starting as early as high school with a lawn mowing business. Prior to traveling the country as a commercial electrician for power plants, he supported the local community ranging from working at Frontier Coop to throwing hay bails and raising grainbins. He ultimately returned to Murdock and started Judge Trucking. He was an avid “wheeler-and-dealer”, buying and selling just about anything. As a genius, mad scientist with diesel engines, he was active in the rat rod community. When he wasn’t creating an unsafe level of power with oversized turbos, he was probably working with his hands in his shop, often teaching others how to build and repair cars as an early member of the Nebraska Diesel Crew and mentor for local high schoolers. Zach was an accomplished lifelong trap shooter at the Ashland Gun Club and across the country. He was a 4-H member for over 10 years, showing pigs at the Cass County Fair. Zach cared deeply about those around him, on any given day, he was wrenching on a project for someone who needed help. In the process, you were guaranteed to get his strongly worded opinion on just about any topic. He was the definition of tough and unstoppable as he’d been “rollin’ through life” in his chair for the last 9 ½ years, with dozens of surgeries, he defied death at least 5 times.
