Youth Builders Incorporated Scholarship Fund

My name is Vernezeia Henderson. I am from Dallas, TX. I graduated at the top of my class (5%) from Lincoln High school and graduated college from Oral Roberts University. Why does this matter? When I was in high school, I did not know what I was going to do in the near future. I knew I was really smart and athletic, but I just didn't have anyone to really guide me to a great future. That was until I met a wonderful God sent woman by the name of Monique Allen who is now Monique Lyon (Congratulations to her!). This woman helped me apply for colleges and jobs. She also helped me realize that there is more in life than just life itself. She helped shape me into the woman I am today! My senior year of college came and I came up with an organization called YBIC; Youth Builders Incorporated Camp. The mission is not to ONLY build youth in the classrooms, but also build them in an extracurricular activity, and in life! Have you ever heard the slogan, “It takes a village to raise a child?” Well, YBIC is that village every child should be a part of.

This fundraiser will support the Youth Builders Incorporated Scholarship by providing additional financial assistance to students looking to pursue a higher education.
