We Are Builders Scholarship Fund

This scholarship seeks to support African American men who are hoping to acquire a skill, certification, or trade from a non-baccalaureate program. There are many ways to improve one’s community and make the world a better place, but students often aren’t encouraged to consider all of their options. As time goes on, a traditional college degree has become the expected path for many young people. From parents to counselors to teachers, many students are only taught about the values of a four-year degree. While this path is right for many students and can unlock a world of career opportunities, there is also incredible value in trade programs and two-year college degrees.
