Verna Cherry Memorial Art Scholarship Fund

The Verna Cherry Memorial Art Scholarship was created in memory of a beloved mother and grandmother, Verna Cherry, a lifelong oil painter from Galloway, New Jersey. Through her paintings of flowers, beaches, landscapes, and nature, she found joy in creating beauty and sharing it with others. Our goal is to honor her legacy by supporting students pursuing the visual arts while encouraging creativity, kindness, and a passion for artistic expression. This scholarship is not intended to recognize technical skill alone. Instead, it seeks to honor students who create with kindness, imagination, and an appreciation for the beauty found in everyday life. We hope this scholarship will continue to grow through the support of family and friends so that Verna’s love of art can inspire future generations.
