In our dynamic and constantly evolving world, the need for future leaders in First Responder Roles has never been greater. Fire, EMS, Law Enforcement, and Emergency Management personnel play a vital role in the planning, response, mitigation, and recovery from both natural and man made disasters.
My goal is to develop a fund that will provide scholarship opportunities to High School Graduates and First-Time Undergraduate Freshmen who are pursuing education in Fire Science/ Safety, Emergency Medicine, Criminal Justice, and Emergency Management degree programs. These scholarships would be awarded based on merit and educational performance.
As a first responder and current graduate student of Emergency Management, I have seen first hand what a shortage of responders can do to a community and the benefits of education for the responder on the ground. By providing access to funding, I believe that an investment can be made in the future of our First Responder Community.
