Veit Public Safety Scholarship Fund

In our dynamic and constantly evolving world, the need for future leaders in First Responder Roles has never been greater. Fire, EMS, Law Enforcement, and Emergency Management personnel play a vital role in the planning, response, mitigation, and recovery from both natural and man made disasters. My goal is to develop a fund that will provide scholarship opportunities to High School Graduates and First-Time Undergraduate Freshmen who are pursuing education in Fire Science/ Safety, Emergency Medicine, Criminal Justice, and Emergency Management degree programs. These scholarships would be awarded based on merit and educational performance. As a first responder and current graduate student of Emergency Management, I have seen first hand what a shortage of responders can do to a community and the benefits of education for the responder on the ground. By providing access to funding, I believe that an investment can be made in the future of our First Responder Community.
