Our story
Travis Ely, a member of the Purdue University Bass Fishing Team, passed away in a car accident on October 16, 2023 while returning back to school from a bass fishing tournament.
Travis’ legacy has left a lasting impact on the fishing community. Travis was a dedicated student pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology – this, plus his passion for bass fishing and hard work made him a standout among his peers.
Our goal
The Association of Collegiate Anglers and their partners have established the Travis Ely Memorial Scholarship and will utilize this scholarship fundraising to provide scholarships to honor active college anglers for his/her impact both on the water and in the community.
