Our goal
This scholarship fund was born out of a deep desire to create meaningful change in the lives of underprivileged African American students, young people who are too often overlooked on the path to higher education. Whether due to financial hardship, lack of access, or systemic barriers, many bright and capable students are denied the opportunity to reach their full potential, not because of a lack of talent, but because of a lack of opportunity.
For me, this mission is personal.
I was fortunate enough to receive a full-ride athletic scholarship to attend Georgia Tech, and that opportunity changed my life. It gave me access to a world-class education and the freedom to grow as a student, an athlete, and a person. But I know, without that scholarship, paying for college would’ve been nearly impossible.
I come from a community where financial struggle is a daily reality. I’ve seen too many talented, driven African American students fall through the cracks, not because they didn’t have what it takes, but because they did not have the opportunity. Friends I grew up with, kids with big dreams and even bigger potential, simply couldn’t afford to pursue them.
That’s why I started this fund: to give someone a chance, when life counted them out.
Our goal is simple but powerful, to invest in future leaders by removing financial barriers to higher education. We aim to support African American students who show resilience, leadership, and a commitment to their communities. This fund is more than financial aid, it’s a statement that their dreams matter, and that we believe in their ability to change the world.
