Our goal
to introduce the It Takes a Village "Bayanihan" Scholarship 2.0 and this time, we're taking it further. At Tinidor Foods, food has always been more than a meal, it's a bridge between cultures, a gathering of community, and a celebration of who we are. As a veteran-owned, San Diego-based Filipino pop-up and catering business, we have seen firsthand how sharing culture can spark connection, inspire pride, and uplift those around us. But we wanted to do more. We believe that bayanihan, the Filipino spirit of unity, collective support, and community progress doesn't stop at the dinner table. It extends into classrooms, campuses, and the futures of the next generation. No student should have to walk their journey alone. We are creating this fund to financially support Filipino immigrant students pursuing higher education with two $500 scholarships: one awarded to a deserving student right here in our local San Diego community, and one open nationally. This is not just a scholarship. It is a village investing in its own.
