Our story

Sylvester was a Certified Meeting Planner and Wine Sommelier. One of his most rewarding roles in his career was Convention Services Manager at Walt Disney World. He was also Disney's Top Casting Scout for three consecutive years. Sylvester believed in celebrating outstanding service and making sure those talents were recognized. Sylvester passed away on September 4th, 2021, and we feel that one of the best ways to honor his legacy is to continue rewarding exemplary service through scholarships.

Our goal

The Sylvester Taylor Hospitality Scholarship seeks to reward a student pursuing a career in hospitality.
