Our goal

Rob Snyder was an all around natural athlete. From running track in high school with an opportunity to go to the Junior Olympics to playing inside linebacker for the University of Kansas in college to riding for Crest in competitive indoor velodrome cycling after college, Rob loved sports. However, it was after all of that, that he found his true passion - golf. He was an avid amateur golfer for several years then went pro in 2006. He played in several PGA, Nationwide (now Korn Ferry), Champions Tour and local tournaments for many years. In 2021, Rob caught Delta COVID and was in the ICU for 10 days. At that time, many people did not survive what he went through, but given he was strong and healthy before, he pulled through. For the last 4 years, Rob fought long haul COVID which affects some COVID patients. It is still a largely unknown condition and he fought against many health issues that impacted his quality of life. However, he did not give up golf, he still played as much as he could and even was able to participate in some more tournaments across the US. All along the way, Rob met with and played with golfers of all ages, skill levels and backgrounds. Rob's outgoing and patient nature meant he could play with anyone, often making new friends on the course and leaving a positive impact on those he met. Most recently, he obtained his USGTF Golf Training Certification and was planning to start a teaching business. Unfortunately, on July 19, 2025, after a hard fought battle with long haul COVID, Rob passed away. This scholarship is meant to keep his name alive in the world of golf, continue to provide help and guidance to those who love the sport, and to support aspiring students with the same passion for the game to succeed in college and beyond.

Kellie, I am devastated to hear about Rob (just seeing this.) I always loved when Rob would say hello on a call, and remember how you lit up when you talked about him. Please know I'm thinking of you, and I'm wowed by your strength and kindness in giving back to the sport that you both love. Take care of yourself. ...Kristen

Inspired by the donations of so many toward this amazing scholarship in your name. Missing our chats and Kellies impromptu responses to our text messages. Your wife, my sister, is amazing BTW, but im sure you knew that. Will contribute to this monthly in your memory brother!

What an amazing initiative you set up to celebrate Rob's memory! I hope that my modest contribution will help some young talents out there achieve their full potential and support you and Rob's memory along the way. Best, Jovan
