Peter T. Buecher Memorial Scholarship Fund

Samantha Norton, based in Orono, has been fighting student debt with Bold.org since December 2021, supporting Minnesota students who seek to enrich the lives of others in their communities. She believes that everyone has the potential to give back to their community and make a difference, even if it is small. This scholarship fund honors the memory of Peter T. Buecher, a beloved swim coach who inspired the lives of many. Sam was a swimmer of Coach Pete's for 7 years at Orono High School. Upon her high school graduation, Sam continued her swimming career at Dartmouth College.
