Our story
The Conteh family has been fighting student debt since March 2021 in honor of Musa Conteh. Musa experienced obstacles while trying to better his life, so as a way of honoring him, his family has created a scholarship fund that will support other African American students. In the United States, African Americans continue to face discrimination and obstacles that prevent them from leading productive and fulfilling lives. High incarceration rates, racial profiling, and high recidivism due to lack of investment in programs to provide better opportunities cause African Americans to be disproportionately left behind in society. This scholarship fund is dedicated to bettering the lives of other disadvantaged people of color by changing the very system that oppresses them.
