Our story

The McCusker family has been fighting student debt since December 2020 as a way of supporting the future of the social work field. Social work is a critical field, helping countless people and families each year. At the same time, it is one of the most rapidly growing careers in the United States right now. As there has been more awareness for mental health, social workers have become even more important. It takes a special kind of person to do what social workers do, so this scholarship fund will help financially support the next generation of social workers.

Our goal

This scholarship fund will provide financial assistance to students who are pursuing a career in social work.

This donation is in celebration of my parent's 57th wedding anniversary. They have been a great example of how a marriage partnership should be. Although my dad is no longer with us physically, he is in all of our hearts and minds every day. My mom is a strong and generous person, who will persevere and carry on what they started together over 30 years ago.

$100

In memory of and to honor the exemplary work of Doug and Ella McCusker in their work with foster care. Their dedication to serving others is the example Christ taught and the McCuskers have lived that life. We pray God’s richest blessing on this scholarship to enable the next generation to follow the standard that Doug and Ella have set.
