Maida Brkanovic Memorial Scholarship Fund

In honor of Maida Brkanovic, this scholarship fund has been fighting student debt for first generation students and recent immigrants since February 2021. Maida loved helping others. She cared deeply about humans and animals. Some of her help was directed towards juvenile diabetes, cancer research, MS research and support, the elderly who lived by themselves, and animal welfare. To keep her wonderful legacy alive, the Brkanovic family has created this fund to give chances to new Americans and underprivileged youth who aim to be educated and help their communities thrive.

This scholarship fund will help assure equal opportunity and educational success to first generation students and underprivileged youth.
