Our story

The Thomas Family has always been a family of givers and embodies the spirit of giving. In 2019, they lost Airman First Class Kenyada Me'Chon Thomas at the age of 20. He gave is life while serving in the United States Air Force. Kenyada - or "Yadi" as they called him - was very kind and compassionate. To continue his legacy of kindness and compassion, the Thomas Family has created a scholarship fund to support underserved high school seniors entering college. Through their giving spirit, they can encourage future students to embody Kenyada's good character.

Our goal

The mission of this scholarship fund is to remember Kenyada M. Thomas by continuing his legacy of compassion and kindness.

We’re making this contribution because of the strong family ties we had with Kenyada. He was literally a ray of sunshine to all the people who had the pleasure of making his acquaintance. We would much rather be celebrating a birthday or life achievement, but that was not to be,so in ending we hope our contribution helps a deserving student reach their full potential in life.

It is with utmost empathy that we strive to create a pathway for students from underrepresented minorities, ensuring they can pursue higher education without the burden of financial constraints. We understand the immense barriers they face, and our commitment lies in providing them with equal opportunities to excel and thrive.
