Our story
Jordan Immanuel Davis found strength in his faith in God from a young age. Jordan was an athlete who exceled in soccer, baseball, basketball, and chess. He was also a talented artist, expressing his creativity passionately.
Jordan attended Advent Episcopal School, The Altamont School, and Oak Mountain High School before studying Communications and Journalism at the University of Alabama. Despite facing mental health challenges that shortened his tenure at UA, he remained committed to his education, earning an associate degree from Jefferson State College. His pursuit of knowledge and dedication to excellence were truly inspiring.
Jordan's life, marked by his battle with mental illness, inspires us to support those facing similar challenges. His legacy encourages us to walk by faith and seek God’s guidance as a source of strength.
Our goal
The Jordan Immanuel Davis (JID) Scholarship Fund was created in loving memory of Jordan Davis, aimed to inspire and uplift college students and their families who suffer mental health challenges. We provide scholarships to college students experiencing mental health issues, advance awareness and education, and foster a safe community dedicated to enhancing their quality of life.
IMPACT
Over 60% of college students met the criteria for at least one mental health problem during the 2020-2021 school year. The stigma surrounding mental illness is pervasive and damaging.
MISSION
The JID Scholarship Fund empowers college students confronting mental health challenges by providing financial support for their pursuit of associate or bachelor’s degrees. Our scholarships contribute towards tuition and fees, books, and vital essentials like food, housing, and transportation—ensuring students have the resources to achieve academic success, enhance their quality of life, and make a lasting impact in their communities.
As a donor your support can help break the stigma and provide vital resources for students in need. Learn more and support the JID Scholarship Fund by visiting https://jidavis1019.my.canva.site/scholarship-fund.
