Our story
Sylvester was a Certified Meeting Planner and Wine Sommelier. One of his most rewarding roles in his career was Convention Services Manager at Walt Disney World. He was also Disney's Top Casting Scout for three consecutive years. Sylvester believed in celebrating outstanding service, making sure those talents were recognized and like his favorite poem, Invictus, he believed in the power of shaping your own future despite all odds.
Sylvester passed away September 4th 2021, and we feel that one of the best ways to honor his legacy is to continue rewarding exemplary service through scholarship.
Our goal
The Sylvester Taylor Invictus Hospitality Scholarship seeks to reward a student pursuing a career in hospitality.
