Supporting Blue's Escape from Violence and homophobia

Dear friends, allies, and supporters, My name is Blue, and I'm reaching out to you with a heart full of hope and determination. I've been given the incredible opportunity to pursue a Master's degree in Performing Arts at SPIN Barcelona, a prestigious institution renowned for its innovative approach to the arts. Despite receiving a partial scholarship, I still need support to cover the remaining tuition fees, accommodation, and living expenses. This opportunity is deeply personal to me. My life has been a relentless battle against violence, abuse, and bullying simply because I'm queer. The very people who were supposed to protect and nurture me—my family—became my tormentors. I faced relentless bullying at home and outside, just for being true to myself. In the midst of this darkness, I found a glimmer of hope. I escaped my abusers and, with others like me, founded Bodystorm—a sanctuary for those who have suffered as I have. I followed my dream to be an artist and performer, but homophobia and financial struggles have been significant obstacles. As a queer artist and activist, I've dedicated my life to challenging oppressive norms and creating spaces where everyone—regardless of gender or sexuality—can thrive and express themselves freely. The opportunity to study at SPIN Barcelona isn't just about furthering my own education; it's about gaining the skills and knowledge to make an even greater impact in the world. By honing my craft, I'll be better equipped to amplify the voices of those who have been silenced and advocate for change on a larger scale. But I can't do this alone.
