SrA Terry (TJ) Sams Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fund

The TJ Sams Memorial Foundation is starting this fund in recognition of the generosity and caring ways of our beloved son Terry Sams Jr. He was always putting everyone's needs before his own and had a very kind heart. TJ originally went to Jacksonville State University to play basketball and study Computer Science, he transferred his second year to Auburn Montgomery where he changed his major to accounting and soon had a son. TJ was so excited about bringing a son into the world that he left school and started working at Walmart to support his child, but soon realized that any job would not provide enough to give his son the life he wanted. So, he returned to school online while working and graduated from Troy University with a General Studies Degree and with that he followed his father's foot steps and joined the United States Air Force and became a Geo base Surveyor Engineer. He enjoyed his new career and excelled immediately, taking on tasking well above his rank and being trusted by superiors with complex jobs and responsibilities. We are starting this fund to support other kids who have trouble finding their way to the career that right for them and to honor the selfless heart of TJ through education scholarships and hopefully help another kid become Civil Engineer or an Airman like TJ.
