SJ Innovators Fund

I created the SJ Innovators Scholarship Fund to support young people who want to build their future through creativity, skill, and innovation. Growing up, I saw how many talented youth had the drive and imagination to pursue trade-based careers—whether in design, fabrication, culinary arts, cosmetology, woodworking, or other hands-on fields—but lacked the financial support or encouragement to take the next step. Trades are some of the most creative, impactful, and essential careers in our communities, yet young innovators in these areas are often overlooked when it comes to scholarships and opportunities. My goal is to change that by giving them recognition, resources, and motivation to continue developing their craft. This fund will award seven students, with a total goal of raising $3,500, to help them pay for tools, classes, materials, certifications, or anything that moves them forward in their chosen field. I want these students to feel seen, supported, and inspired to push boundaries and bring fresh ideas into their industry. By backing this fund, donors help empower the next generation of creators and problem-solvers—young people who will design, build, cook, shape, craft, and innovate the world around us. The SJ Innovators Scholarship is not just about financial help; it’s about encouraging youth to believe in their potential and pursue the creative trades that light them up.
