Ryan Douglas Osborne Scholarship of Excellent Character Fund

Ryan Douglas Osborne was known by many to be a very friendly, personable, and genuine man in every aspect of his life. He had an innate ability to relate to anybody he met, despite any differences he may have had with them. But those who knew him best also saw his ambition to be great - he had a special mindset that gave him an unrelenting drive to be successful. Not only did Ryan pursue a higher education, he also worked multiple jobs during the process. He created a private consulting firm, a lawn maintenance business, and helped out other small businesses in any way he could. He was a financial aspirant, but regardless of growing up in Appalachia and the challenges that faced him, he never stopping working towards his dreams. Ryan passed away on May 3, 2023, one month away from his 28th birthday. The Ryan Douglas Osborne Scholarship of Excellent Character was created to not only remember the person he was, but to celebrate and reward a student who exemplifies the same characteristics that Ryan had - friendly, genuine, and ambitious.
