Our story
Rose M. Jackson, raised in Columbus, Georgia, was a graduate of Tennessee State University and the University of Michigan. Rose taught in the Detroit Public Schools Community District for 30 plus years, as an elementary school teacher and later as a reading specialist for the district Area A office. Growing up visiting my Mother's home town, Her neighbors told me stories about my Mother. They spoke about how my Mother always had kids around playing school and of course She was the teacher. My mother always knew She wanted to be an educator to children. Help me continue Rose M. Jackson's legacy in helping children of DPSCD attain assistance towards attending an HBCU.
Our goal
I'm starting this fund to help children graduating from Detroit Public Schools Community District, the district in which my Mother taught. With that, I'm also starting this fund to honor the memory of my Mother: Rose M. Jackson. Rose always wanted the best for children and wanted children to become whatever they dreamed of becoming. My Mother always practiced service to Her Community. I'm asking for your help, in continuing Rose M. Jackson's service to children in DPSCD in Her memory. By donating to this scholarship fundraising campaign.

Your mother sounds she was a great woman. There is nothing more critical than helping children believe they can achieve anything they want.
