Our story
These scholarships were created from a deeply personal story of resilience, love, and loss. Echo Marie Bryant grew up as the adult child of two parents who struggled with addiction and later became a teenage mother who would face one of the most devastating losses of her life — the death of her son, Ronald, on September 5, 2017, due to opioid addiction.
That pain shaped a mission. Instead of allowing addiction to define her family’s story, Echo turned grief into purpose. These scholarships were born from her commitment to help young people rise above hardship, choose healing, and build meaningful futures through education and trade school opportunities.
The Ronald Alexander Bryant Recovery Leadership Scholarship honors Ronald’s memory by supporting students impacted by addiction who are working to break cycles and reclaim their lives that are ready to grow, heal, and step into their potential.
