Our story

Roger Dale Tingue (1957–2025) was one of the most talented craftsmen of his generation. His work took him to projects across the country—from Colorado, Texas, Florida, Tennessee, and Arizona—but his legacy began, grew, and remains strongest in Cattaraugus County, New York. No project was ever too big for Roger. His larger-than-life personality was matched only by his unwavering work ethic and dedication to his craft. Even when others urged him to seek proper medical attention, Roger was often found treating "on-the-job" injuries with electrical tape around his fingers or bandages wrapped wherever they were needed. He simply refused to quit. His determination and grit were reflected in every project he completed. From simple home improvements to sprawling custom mansions, Roger brought extraordinary skill, precision, and pride to everything he built. A true artist at heart, he expressed his creativity through carpentry and construction, developing a signature rustic, country-inspired style that transformed wood and stone into lasting works of craftsmanship. There wasn't much Roger couldn't build or fix. Beyond his talent, Roger will be remembered for his generous spirit, kind heart, and unforgettable presence. He was the kind of person who left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. To family, friends, coworkers, and clients alike, Roger wasn't just a master craftsman—he was a legend.

Our goal

Today, we are honoring Roger's life and legacy by raising funds to support the next generation of aspiring craftsmen and builders as they pursue their dreams. Through this tribute, Roger's passion for hard work, creativity, and excellence will continue to inspire future generations. Help us celebrate the life of the man, the myth, and the legend—Roger Dale Tingue.

Although I knew of Roger for decades, I only really got to sit down with him during a very short time prior to his transition - and I found I liked him. My regret is that I didn't take the time sooner.
