Our story

Rob Novak was a lifelong auto mechanic. When he was 18, he started working at the shop he later came to own until he passed away in 2023. Rob loved working on cars and would go into the shop even on days he was supposed to be off. He enjoyed helping the people around him by sharing his knowledge, being generous with the cost of repairs, and allowing customers to pay over time. He understood the stress of car repair and wanted to support the people who needed transportation in order to go about their lives. He frequently put others before himself and would help anyone who needed him. The scholarships created from this fund will support others who want to grow in the field of auto mechanics. We hope they will embody the generosity of Rob as they do so and help the people around them.

Our goal

Robert D. Novak was a beloved father, a fixture of his community, and a lifelong, talented auto mechanic. Rob owned a small repair and auto body shop in Cleveland, Ohio, and supported his community through his kindness and generosity. He was funny, hard-working, and loved working on cars. Rob enjoyed restoring older vehicles and being able to help others when the stress of auto repairs felt overwhelming. He was calm, thoughtful, and easy to be around. This fund supports annual scholarship(s) aimed to honor Rob Novak’s life and keep his legacy alive by supporting others as they pursue automotive technology training.
