Our story
Ricky was intelligent, hard working and always the life of the party. He had a way of making everyone feel included and accepted no matter what walk of life they came from. Ricky had three things in life he loved most – animals, culinary arts and the color purple. He leaves behind a legacy of love, acceptance and laughter.
Our goal
The Ricky Kirton Memorial Scholarship fund is being established to honor the memory of Ricky Kirton who, in August of 2020, passed away as a result of complications from a long term illness.
Each year a $500 scholarship will be awarded to each of up to three promising students interested in studying in the veterinary sciences. This scholarship intends to respect the love Ricky had for all animals as well as defray the increasing cost of higher education.
