Many students grow up in underprivileged families, such as those raised by single mothers in low-income households. When a child grows up with financial insecurity, they often must watch their parents work multiple jobs, endure manual labor, or even face racism, poverty, and discrimination. These experiences can make a student give up on their future before they’ve even begun working towards it, holding them back from achieving their dreams. This fund will be used to create scholarships that aim to support students who are pursuing higher education despite the circumstances they were born into.
