One Room School House Scholarship Fund

This fund was created in our mother's name, Donel Lou Beckford, to support African American Females who are pursuing a four-year nursing degree at an accredited college. Our mother was a life-long learner, who although did not attend college, fostered the love of reading and education to her children, grandchildren, and her siblings. She cared for elderly individuals as a private duty aide and in a nursing facility up until retirement. Her nurturing nature is remembered by all that had contact with her.

This fund is to support a scholarship for African American female students who are willing to care for others and advocate for compassionate equitable care for all human beings regardless of the assigned level of professional care.
