Our story
This is important to me because I am a non traditional student of nursing. I am a mother of five, two of whom are in college and two who are still in primary school. It has been very difficult for me to get through college without help. I was not able to find any scholarships that didn't cost money to apply for or that I could qualify for and have a real hope of winning. It's my hope that this scholarship will support students like me!
Our goal
I want to support students of nursing in Ohio. There is a serious shortage of nurses in the U.S., and there are not nearly an adequate number of nursing scholarships. I am especially connected with the non traditional student. Students with children, and students who are entering into college after a long break of high school or other education.
