Our goal
We’ve created the Ndombe-Carrère International Scholarship to support undergraduate students who have moved to the United States from other countries to pursue their education.
International students leave behind family, language, and familiarity to study abroad. They’re building a life in a place that isn’t home while navigating a new academic system and culture. Along the way, they face higher tuition costs, limited access to financial aid, and visa restrictions that limit how much they can work, and there’s often no built-in safety net.
This fund will support the scholarship we plan to award in Fall 2026, with a focus on international students studying in the U.S., including students at our local university, Cal Poly Humboldt in Arcata, CA. Our goal is to raise up to $10,000 to award multiple students this year.
Every contribution goes directly toward those awards. Donations are tax-deductible through Bold.org’s 501(c)(3) nonprofit status, and donors will receive an acknowledgment for their records.
We’re grateful to everyone who chooses to be part of this.
