Our story
My grandmother Naomi (June) Hutchinson was a first generation college student from a small rural farming and coal mining community when she went to Morris Harvey Nursing School in Charleston, WV. After graduating she went back to her hometown and was a nurse that had a significant impact handling the deliveries of new babies and assisting in cardiovascular procedures. After several years working as a nurse she became a Nursing Home Administrator and worked at many locations to improve overall nursing home quality in North Carolina and West Virginia. She valued education and found it important to help provide other people with the opportunity to become nurses and was able to help get scholarships to go to school to become RNA.
