Megan Mills Scholarship Fund

Megan Mills immigrated to Miami, Florida, from St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, with her mother and younger brother, bringing with her dreams of becoming a physician assistant. Megan was strong and hard-working with a heart of pure gold; she never forgot her humble beginnings and always made sure to celebrate how far she’d come. Despite the many obstacles she faced during her journey, Megan never faltered, and she overcame every single challenge with pure grit and determination. She finally achieved her dream of being a gastrointestinal physician assistant in January 2025. Tragically, her life was cut short less than a week after starting her new career. Megan was caring, kind, intelligent, humorous, beautiful, and ambitious beyond belief. She was a fighter and a true culinary talent. Her ultimate motive through her achievements was to give back to her mother and close family, who sacrificed and supported her while she pursued her education. This scholarship aims to highlight and celebrate women like Megan Mills, who, against all odds, are pursuing their career goals and aspirations in STEM and healthcare.
