Mattie K. Peterson Scholarship Fund

Mattie Peterson was a beloved wife and mother, who sadly passed away too soon. Mattie's family is setting up this scholarship to help honor her legacy of greatness. This scholarship will be awarded to a member of her local community, when possible, that carries the foundation building blocks of what Mattie believed in such as, higher education excellence, community service, active in church, mentorship, and paying it forward. Mattie was a huge proponent for education. She, herself was a graduate of Temple University (Bachelor of Business Administration) and Goldey- Beacom College (Master of Business Administration). Mattie always believed that if we wanted a brighter future for our community it began and ended with God and Education. This scholarship will be funded to carry out Mattie's legacy for many years to come.
