Our story

My father Ralph Rodriguez was an amazing man. He was a husband, father of eight children four boys and four girls. He was a grandfather to many more. Ralph Rodriguez served his country as a United States Marine, was a high decorated combat veteran and Drill Instructor who retired at the rank of Master Sergeant. He was always passionate about education and young leaders who expressed interest in serving in the Military. Our family is filled with a strong history of military history dating back to his grandfather who served in World War I. All of his sons served, and many of his grandchildren have continued the traditions of military service. We feel that there is no better way to honor his legacy than to help those he was so passionate about. Thank you.

Our goal

Master Sergeant Ralph "Chico" Rodriguez (USMC) was a beloved father and respected leader. Master Sergeant Rodriguez was a career U.S. Marine and was a combat veteran who served in Vietnam and as a Drill Instructor. Master Sergeant Rodriguez was always passionate about education at all levels, taking great pride in the young people who chose to participate in Junior ROTC programs and collegiate-level ROTC programs. He also believed strongly in those young men and women who chose the road less taken and had a desire to become leaders within the military or desired to attend a military college or ROTC program. This scholarship seeks to honor the memory of Master Sergeant Rodriguez by supporting students who share his dedication to military service.
