Marjorie Loraine Abel Legacy of Giving Fund

To families across Broward County schools, she was "Mrs. Abel." To us, she was Mom. Marjorie Loraine Abel served as an Office Manager with the School Board of Broward County. Officially, she ran the office. In practice, she was the person families came to when they didn't know where to turn. She shared her knowledge, her experience, and whatever resources she could find, especially with families who might not otherwise have known help existed. Her life centered on family, faith, and community, and on one simple conviction: when you can help, you help. We created this fund so her kind of help keeps reaching Broward families. Every dollar raised by December 31 will fund three $1,000 scholarships for Broward County high school seniors continuing their education, launching January 15. If you ever sat across the desk from Mrs. Abel, worked alongside her, or were helped by her, this is a way to pass that on. If you never met her, she would have helped you anyway.
