Maria's Legacy: Alicia's Scholarship Fund

This fund supports Maria's Legacy: Alicia's scholarship. This scholarship is dedicated to low-income, first generation college students in honor of my wife and her Mother, Maria. Alicia is the first in her family to graduate from college. Her Mother, Maria, worked in the Augustana College cafeteria to pay for Alicia's tuition. While Alicia was in college, Maria passed away. Maria would be proud to know that not only did Alicia graduate from Augustana, she went on to graduate from Northwestern University with her Masters Degree. Alicia is passionate about using education as a way to change the path of generations of first time college students.
