Mamie Marie Matthews (MMM) Memorial Scholarship Fund

Mamie Marie Matthews "Mamieree" was a God-fearing woman who always lent a helping hand to her family members and the youth in her church and community. She loved plants and flowers and had an unbelievable green thumb, she could grow anything! Mamieree passed away after spending 84 years of life with her family and friends. She is survived by eight of her children, one proceeded her in death. Mamieree supported five of her children on their journies to pursue higher education and assisted her grandchildren through college with small checks to help them, Those we love never truly leave us, therefore the family of Mamie Marie Matthews would like to help ambitious students achieve their dreams, and honor her legacy for years to come.

Contributions to this fund will help to continue the MMM Memorial scholarship annually. The scholarship aims to honor Mamie Marie Matthews by supporting African American high school juniors and seniors in Louisiana that are passionate about making a difference and changing the world in a positive way.
