Lionel Smith was a beloved father who truly had a lion’s heart. Lionel was dedicated to his family and his faith and was a passionate civil servant who always gave back through community service. Lionel passed away too soon, leaving behind young children. Kids who lose parents not only have to persevere through their grief but also often face financial strife as a result of losing a parent. This scholarship aims to honor the memory of Lionel Smith by supporting students who need financial assistance to pursue their dreams of college.

This fund is in memory of my late father Lionel L. Smith. Lionel Smith was a beloved brother, husband, father, friend, nephew, uncle, and son who truly had a lion’s heart.
