Our story
Lily was the kind of person who left a lasting impression wherever she went. She had a strong personality, a bright smile, and a presence that made people feel seen and valued. She was responsible, driven, and fiercely committed to living with integrity and purpose.
From a young age, Lily showed independence and determination. When she set a goal, she worked tirelessly to achieve it. She took her responsibilities seriously—whether in school, work, friendships, or family—and people knew they could always count on her. That reliability, combined with her passion, made her truly special.
Lily was fierce in the best way. She stood up for what she believed in, defended those who needed support, and never stayed silent in the face of injustice. Her strength came from love, empathy, and a deep desire to make the world better. She was bold without being unkind, confident without being arrogant, and strong without losing her compassion.
As a student in Northern Arizona University’s Exercise Physiology program, Lily embodied discipline and dedication. She poured herself into her studies because she genuinely cared about helping others live healthier, stronger lives. Her work ethic and focus were a reflection of who she was at her core.
To her family and friends, Lily was a shining light—full of warmth, humor, honesty, and loyalty. She lifted people up, spoke truth with kindness, and loved deeply. She showed us what it means to live bravely and authentically.
Though her time with us was far too short, Lily’s impact is everlasting. Her strength, responsibility, and fierce compassion continue to guide us. Through this scholarship, we honor her by supporting students who carry forward her dedication, courage, and heart for justice.
Lily’s light will never fade. It lives on in every life she touched and in every student who benefits from this scholarship in her name.

Why We Are Starting This Fund
The Lily Tantillo Memorial Scholarship was created to honor the life, passion, and legacy of our beloved daughter, Lily.
Lily was a dedicated and gifted graduate of Northern Arizona University’s Exercise Physiology program. She was known for her strong work ethic, determination, and deep compassion for others. She chose a career focused on health and wellness because she truly wanted to help people feel stronger, healthier, and more confident in their lives.
To everyone who knew her, Lily was a shining light. She brought energy, warmth, and authenticity into every space she entered. She had a strong, independent spirit and a powerful sense of purpose. Lily cared deeply about women’s rights, LGBTQ+ rights, and justice for all people, regardless of background, religion, or circumstance. She believed in standing up for those whose voices were often unheard and in treating every person with dignity and respect.
Tragically, Lily passed away on July 5, 2025. Her loss has left an immeasurable void in our family and in the hearts of everyone who loved her. While our hearts remain broken, we are committed to honoring her memory in a way that reflects her strength, her values, and the light she brought into the world.
This scholarship was established to support hardworking students who share Lily’s passion for health, learning, compassion, and social justice. Our goal is to help remove financial barriers so that deserving students—especially those from underrepresented or disadvantaged backgrounds—can pursue their education and make a positive impact in the world.
Through the Lily Tantillo Memorial Scholarship, we hope to:
