Our story
The LD143 Educators Change Lives Scholarship honors the memory of Luria Dean McCallum-Johnson, Natisha Johnson, and Taivona Pattawi, three women whose lives reflected the importance of community and education. Through this annual scholarship, their legacy will continue by supporting future educators who share a commitment to learning, service, and making a difference in the lives of others.
Our goal
I believe education has the power to change lives, strengthen communities, and create opportunities for generations to come, which is why supporting future educators is important to me.
I want to support college students who are pursuing careers in education and are committed to making a meaningful impact through teaching, leadership, and service.
The LD143 Educators Change Lives Scholarship will provide financial support to a college student pursuing a career in education. The scholarship will help with the costs associated with their education while supporting the next generation of educators who will help shape the futures of others.
The scholarship fund will continue beyond this year's fundraiser, with the goal of awarding the LD143 Educators Change Lives Scholarship annually to a deserving student pursuing a career in education.
