Our story

Although non-verbal, Kylee easily inspired everyone around her to perservere, no matter what challenge she was facing. We will never forget her contagious smile or how her bright brown eyes could light up a room. Unfortunately, Kylee's battle with a rare genetic disorder called 6-Pruvoyl-Tetrahyropterin Synthase Deficiency, ended at just 16 years old. She was one admirable little girl. This scholarship will help pay tribute to her name and her story, while simultaneously helping future nurses reach their goal of obtaining their Nursing degree. #KyleeStrong

Our goal

Our goal is to create a scholarship with an award of $1000, once a year, to a high school or undergraduate student. The scholarship will be awarded to an individual who wishes to pursue a Nursing degree with a concentration in pediatrics. Once the funds surpass our $1000 goal, the remaining funds will be used to fund this same scholarship in subsequent years to come.

It has been an honor and a true blessing to know Kylee and her family over the last six years. Kylee was such a beautiful and bright life in everyone’s lives. I hope that those who wish to enter the nursing field pursue their career with life, passion, and in Kylee’s legacy.

Kylee had wonderful nurses taking care of her all these years. We need young people to pursue nursing as a career. We love you Kylee! Rest in peace 🩷

I hope whoever receives this scholarship is as loving and supportive as all of the nursing community and staff that the Govoni family had the pleasure of meeting to guide and support them with taking care of Kylee.

Kylee was my niece. I hope that her story inspires you and her memory lives on in the work you do. Thank you.
