Our goal

Katie Eterno was a teacher and educator passionate about literacy and reading, deeply invested in both her students' and colleagues' success. The Eterno Family would like to honor her legacy and love of reading by offering scholarships to students pursuing degrees in education with a special emphasis on literature and arts education.

Katie and I were first-year teachers together. We quickly became friends. Katie had a gift for bringing stories to life and a remarkable instinct for teaching. She challenged her students to do their best, often seeing their potential before they could see it themselves. Through her love of reading and writing and passion for teaching, she inspired them far beyond the classroom. May this scholarship honor her legacy, her dedication to education, and the lasting impact she had on her students.
