Our story
Karen Von Bernewitz was a loving Christian educator, musician, wife, mother, and humanitarian that loved nothing more than spending time with young people and bringing the gift of music to others. Her family, friends, and community continue this scholarship in her honor: to pay forward the gift of education for other young adults that likewise value the fine arts while sharing a kindred desire to serve others.
Our goal
This fund is to honor the memory of Karen Von Bernewitz Memorial Fund: educator, mother, friend, and Christian humanitarian that believed in serving others, especially children, along with bringing the joy of the gift of music to others.

Ms VB as my kids knew her, gave all 3 of my children a love of music and orchestra. She patiently taught them and even spent her own time helping them with auditions for All County and Regional Orchestras and YOPW. She was such an amazing human and I’m glad her legacy can live on in this way.
