The Joe & Lori Martin Foundation was created to open doors for young people in North Nashville—especially those in the 37208 area, one of the most underserved and over-incarcerated zip codes in the United States. Surrounded by four Historically Black Colleges and Universities, many students in this community still feel college is financially out of reach. We are committed to changing that. The Joe D. Martin Jr. North Star Scholarship provides a transformative opportunity for a student from North Nashville to attend a Nashville-area HBCU without the burden of overwhelming debt. This fund reflects our belief that every young person deserves a real chance to succeed, regardless of their family income, environment, or circumstances.
