Jimmy L. Smith Memorial Music Scholarship Fund

The Jimmy L. Smith Memorial Music Scholarship Fund honors the remarkable 42-year legacy of a dedicated band director who shaped generations of students in the Huntsville Hornet Military Marching Band and the Willis Wildcat Band. This scholarship reflects his enduring belief in the power of music to build discipline, character, and community. By supporting one graduate from Huntsville ISD and one from Willis ISD each with a $1,000 award, we aim to help aspiring musicians and future educators continue their studies in music or music education. Investing in these students not only celebrates Mr. Smith’s life and impact, but also ensures that his passion for excellence and mentorship lives on through the next generation.
