Jeanne Murphy Scholarship Fund: Compassion in Action

Compassion in Action. My mother lived her life constantly helping others. And she taught me how to do the same. She was a life-long Lutheran who always gave back to our family churches. She cared for my father as a pancreatic cancer survivor, while she, herself, was disabled from a fall. She was an animal rescue volunteer and encouraged me to do the same. She consistently donated resources to underserved schools. And, for 30+ years, she was an educator working with special needs populations. Every Christmas she hosted a Christmas party at a facility for special needs adults who had no family of their own on that day. It was an honor to work alongside her every Christmas morning. My mother unexpectedly passed in 2023. Now, I want to give back to others who operate in her spirit, because I know she would've done the same.
