All proceeds from this fund will go towards the James McClinton III Scholarship.
James McClinton III was a beloved brother, husband, and father whose bright life was tragically cut short as a result of suicide.
Mental health struggles are often stigmatized, leading those who suffer to avoid asking for help, especially in communities where there may be little to no resources available to assist those battling a mental illness or other difficult circumstances. When those experiencing domestic violence or mental crises feel like they must push through alone, they lose out on life-changing help, and the results can be fatal.
This scholarship seeks to honor the memory of James McClinton III by supporting students who are passionate about helping others and bringing awareness to black mental health and domestic violence for men.
